Job summary

Amazon Web Services, a subsidiary of Amazon, is seeking a remote PostgreSQL Software Development Engineer to contribute to the PostgreSQL engine and related projects, primarily in C, engaging with the PostgreSQL community.

You will work on features, fixes, drivers, extensions, and reviews, collaborating with public mailing lists and development groups to advance core database capabilities for AWS customers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
• Named mention in the PostgreSQL project public git logs at least 30 times over a timespan of at least 8 years.

Responsibilities

• Author and review PostgreSQL core database engine code for the central PostgreSQL open source git repository. Discuss designs, architecture, bugs, and other PostgreSQL community business on the public PostgreSQL mailing lists.
