Job summary

Amazon in Redmond, WA is building a fully managed PostgreSQL service for the Relational Database Service (RDS) team. This role collaborates with customers to understand challenges, resolve escalations, and share best practices.

You will influence engineering by voicing customer learnings, plan end-to-end test scenarios, and drive improvements in the managed database service. The candidate will act as the database SME across development and support teams, engage with the open-source community,

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Work closely with customers to understand challenges, solve issues during critical escalations, and teach best practices.
• Act as the voice of the customer to bring learnings to the engineering process, design new features, and plan end-to-end test scenarios.
• Drive feature enhancements, permanently resolve root causes of issues, and improve the performance of the managed database service.
• Serve as the ultimate subject matter expert for all things databases, working with development, support, account, and customer teams.
• Interact with the open‑source community through forums, conferences, and feature or bug‑fix code submissions.
• Extend knowledge to other database engines beyond PostgreSQL.
