Job summary

B&A is seeking a Database Developer to join a collaborative team supporting a large enterprise application development program. You will design, develop, and optimize database structures, write complex SQL, and implement ETL and data migration within AWS environments.

The role emphasizes Python automation, data profiling, and performance tuning, with strong collaboration across cross-functional teams and clients in an Agile setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in database development roles.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain database structures to support application development initiatives.
• Create, modify, and optimize complex SQL queries in high-volume, complex data environments.
• Perform data profiling, cleansing, transformation, and reporting activities.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes and data staging solutions.
• Write and manage DDL, DML, and DCL statements to support database operations.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and implement query tuning and optimization strategies.
• Support data migration, validation, and pipeline development within AWS environments.
• Develop automation scripts using Python to support database and data processing tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients to design data solutions within technical and business constraints.
• Utilize version control tools (e.g., Git) to manage code and database changes.
• Monitor and support system performance using tools such as CloudWatch, Kibana, and Dynatrace.
• Continuously evaluate and adopt new tools and technologies to improve data solutions.
