Job summary

Pentair is seeking a Pool Regional Technical Support Specialist to support Southern California remotely with periodic on-site training. The role centers on providing expert phone-based support for pool equipment, diagnosing issues, and guiding customers to resolution while coordinating with field technicians as needed.

The ideal candidate has pool systems experience (HVAC/plumbing/electrical acceptable) and strong communication skills, with bilingual English/Spanish highly desired.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical support for pool systems or related fields (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
• Strong problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot remotely.
• Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to assess situations and determine next steps.
• Reading and understanding technical manuals and schematics.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide phone-based technical support for pool products to high priority customers, troubleshooting pumps, heaters, filters, and automation systems.
• Guide customers through problem diagnosis and resolution, ensuring clear communication and technical understanding.
• Assess when on-site support is required and coordinate with field technicians to resolve more complex issues.
• Maintain detailed call logs and service records, tracking issues to ensure timely resolutions.
• Assist customers with product usage questions and provide expert advice on equipment maintenance, installation, and performance.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, product management, and field support to enhance overall customer satisfaction.
