Job summary

You will create announcements, online help, and policy communications while managing multiple projects with flexible work arrangements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in communications, journalism, technical writing, or related field.
• Experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Experience with industry writing style, grammar, and structure.
• Strong writing and editing skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects on varying deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Researches, writes, and edits State policy for use in documents such as articles, manuals, and user guides to inform the public in accessible terms.
• Collaborates with technical and non-technical staff to create and refine materials through interviews and cross-discipline meetings.
• Writes, organizes, and reviews online help documents, policy and system change announcements for end users.
• Gathers information from prior documentation to reference in drafted materials.
• Coordinates multiple projects with deadlines and escalates issues as needed.
