Job summary

Supporting Cast is a remote-first company seeking a passionate PHP developer to expand its podcast subscription platform. You will join a small team and influence the stack while helping independent creators and publishers improve financial sustainability.

You’ll build user-facing features, scale the app, and integrate with embeds and third-party tools, using AI to accelerate development and enhance security and quality.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of professional experience with PHP and a PHP framework such as Laravel.
• 1-2 years of experience with LLM-based AI.
• CS degree is a plus but not required; willingness to learn on the job.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain user- and administrator-facing features in the existing stack.
• Scale the application as clients onboarding grows to tens of thousands of members.
• Build and maintain integrations for other websites, embeds, and third-party tools.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate feature development and improve code quality and security.
• Learn about the podcast industry to better support creators and publishers.
