Job summary

Supporting Cast is seeking a passionate PHP developer to expand our podcast subscription platform. You will join a small, remote-first team and influence our tech stack while aligning with East Coast hours.

You’ll build user- and admin-facing features, scale the product as clients grow to tens of thousands of members, explore AI-powered tooling, and integrate sites via embeds and third-party services like Stripe and Wordpress.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of professional PHP and a PHP framework such as Laravel
• 1–2 years of experience with LLM-based AI
• CS degree is a plus but not required
• Willingness to adapt and learn on the job

Responsibilities

• Learn a lot about the podcast industry and the rapidly growing paid subscription market
• Scale an application as we onboard clients with tens of thousands of members and evaluate new technologies
• Develop and maintain user- and administrator-facing features in our existing stack
• Help us leverage AI tools to accelerate new feature development and improve code quality and security
• Build and maintain implementations for other websites, including embeds and third-party integrations
