Job summary

IU Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Team Lead Trainer to develop and oversee training and quality programs for the Centralized Refill Team. This mostly remote role may include occasional travel to the IU Health ISC in Plainfield, Indiana, for meetings and projects.

You will train technicians and pharmacists, create onboarding materials, and monitor adherence to refill workflows to drive operational excellence across regions.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacy Technician license as required by state and organizational standards.
• Demonstrated experience in pharmacy operations and refill workflows.
• Strong communication, organization, and presentation skills.
• Ability to effectively train and coach employees in a virtual environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and virtual meeting platforms (Teams).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary trainer for newly hired Centralized Refill Team employees.
• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve onboarding and training programs.
• Create and update training materials, job aids, workflow documentation, and competency assessments.
• Conduct virtual training sessions for technicians, pharmacists and other refill team members.
• Coordinate and facilitate ongoing education and refresher training programs.
• Partner with leadership and subject matter experts to ensure training content reflects current workflows, policies, and protocols.
