Job summary

Indiana University Health System is seeking a Refill Pharmacy Technician Supervisor to provide daily leadership for the centralized Refill team. You will coordinate workflows to ensure timely access to medications for IU Health providers and clinics statewide, reporting to the Refill Pharmacy Manager and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role requires supervisory experience, Indiana Pharmacist Technician license, IV admixture experience preferred, and strong communication and customer service

Description:

The Refill Pharmacy Technician Supervisor provides day‑to‑day operational leadership and frontline oversight for the centralized Refill team, supporting IU Health providers and clinics statewide to ensure timely patient access to medications. Reporting to the Refill Pharmacy Manager, the Supervisor coordinates daily workflows, monitors performance expectations, and ensures regulatory compliance. Key duties include, but may not be limited to:

• Scheduling
• Workload distribution
• Training and onboarding support
• Performance feedback assistance
• Serving as an escalation point for workflow issues

The role collaborates closely with peers, clinicians, nurses and pharmacists to drive workflow improvements, standardize processes and performance metrics, and maintain high levels of efficiency, accuracy, and service quality, while also fostering team engagement and contributing to the ongoing growth of the Centralized Refill program.

About this role:

• Monday-Friday days schedule based on team calendar
• No weekends, no holidays
• Hybrid opportunity up to 3 days work from home after training and successfully meeting metrics
• Office days (2 days per week) required in Plainfield, IN
• Requires previous supervisory/leadership experience.
• Requires the absence of criminal history related to the ability to work with drugs.
• Requires strong mathematical calculation skills.
• Requires Pharmacy Technician experience; IV admixture experience preferred.
• Requires knowledge of pharmacy and hospital computer systems and computer-assisted devices.
• Requires strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Requires strong customer service skills.
• Requires full proficiency typing and using Microsoft Office applications. High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
