Job summary

Centene Corporation is seeking a Remote Pharmacy Technician II, Specialty Outreach to support specialty pharmacy operations through customer service, phone outreach, and data entry. The role involves speaking with patients and healthcare providers, clarifying prescriptions, and assisting with pharmacist callbacks from a remote setting.

The position requires a pharmacy technician license in TX, MO, or CA, 2+ years in related roles, and familiarity with chronic disease medications.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of pharmacy technician or medical office experience.
• Familiarity with drugs used to treat chronic illnesses.
• State pharmacy technician license(s) in TX, MO or CA, living in assigned location.
• National Certification (PTCB or ExCPT) highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interact with various departments to ensure accurate, timely dispensing.
• Work under direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Maintain and update inventory recap report.
• Retrieve discontinued or expired medications and handle documentation.
• Maintain prescription logs and related records.
• Support temperature and cleaning logs for the pharmacy.
• Comply with safety, quality, accreditation, legal, state and federal requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

2+ years pharmacy technician or medical office experience

Active Pharmacy Technician license in TX MO or CA

National Certification (PTCB or ExCPT) preferred

Typing speed 40 wpm
