Qualifications

• 2+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience required.
• Experience with prior authorization processes.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Solid computer skills and ability to use data systems.
• Ability to work remotely in a distraction-free environment.
• HIPAA compliance and secure handling of PHI required.

Responsibilities

• Review prior authorizations for determinations.
• Approve or deny authorizations and route to pharmacist for final review.
• Enter member demographics and prescription information into systems.
• Research and resolve rejected insurance billing issues and escalated inquiries.
• Escalate questions to pharmacist for interpretation; provide processing guidance.
• Handle inbound/outbound calls from patients or physicians as needed.
