Job summary

Oak Street Health is hiring a Pharmacy Technician I for remote support across the U.S. You will serve as a liaison between patients, providers and pharmacists, delivering exceptional customer service with empathy and strong phone etiquette.

Responsibilities include handling inbound refill requests, coordinating refills with retail, mail-order or independent pharmacies, making outbound calls, and documenting all interactions in the EMR. A state license and CPhT certification are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of retail pharmacy experience required.
• Active Pharmacy Technician License in the state of residence.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred, medical Spanish a plus.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office and Google Suite preferred.
• US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound/refill calls and process medication renewals.
• Contact patients to assist with refills from various pharmacies.
• Make outbound calls to pharmacies on behalf of patients.
• Maintain 40–50 inbound and 60–80 outbound calls daily.
• Coordinate with center care teams to resolve refill barriers.
• Use EMR to send requests and updates to field teams.
• Document patient requests clearly in electronic systems.
• Arrange transportation for center visits.
• Triage nurse line for acute healthcare concerns.
• Stay compliant with privacy and security policies.
