Job summary

Oak Street Health is hiring a Pharmacy Technician I for a remote role. You will act as a liaison among patients, providers, and pharmacists, handling refill requests and patient communications with high service standards.

Responsibilities include inbound/outbound calls, EMR usage, and coordination with care teams. Requires active CPhT, state license, and US work authorization; bilingual Spanish is a plus. Competitive benefits and full-time hours available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of retail pharmacy experience.
• Active Pharmacy Technician License in the state of residence.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred, medical Spanish a plus.
• US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Field inbound calls for refills and renewals.
• Contact patients to assist obtaining refills from retail, independent, or mail-order pharmacies.
• Make outbound calls to pharmacies on behalf of patients.
• Handle 40–50 inbound and 60–80 outbound calls per day.
• Coordinate with care teams to overcome refill barriers.
• Use EMR to send requests and updates.
• Document information in electronic platforms.
• Monitor CareReq queue for open requisitions.
