Job summary

Oak Street Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I for a fully remote role. The technician will serve as a liaison among patients, providers, and pharmacists, offering exceptional service and phone etiquette while showing empathy to Oak Street Health patients.

Responsibilities include handling refill requests, coordinating with pharmacies, and supporting care teams to ensure timely medication access. Remote work requires a private, distraction-free home office and reliable internet.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of retail pharmacy experience required.
• Active Pharmacy Technician License in the state of residence.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred, medical Spanish a plus.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office and Google Suite preferred.
• US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Field inbound calls for refill requests, investigate status of refills, and fulfill medication renewal requests.
• Contacts patients and assists/reminds them in obtaining refills from their pharmacy (retail, independent or mail-order).
• Make outbound calls to pharmacies on behalf of the patient when needed.
• Handle 40–50 inbound and 60–80 outbound calls per day, maintaining accuracy and courtesy.
• Coordinate with center care teams to overcome barriers to refills.
