Job summary

The Remote Pharmacy Technician II at Cardinal Health delivers accurate prescription processing and exceptional customer service via phone. This role focuses on member support, order placement, and prescription adjudication without on-site dispensing.

Responsibilities include handling calls, assisting with questions and payments, communicating with prescribers, and ensuring compliance with regulatory procedures. Strong data entry and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of pharmacy technician experience preferred.
• High School diploma, GED or equivalent preferred.
• Active Florida Pharmacy Technician License in good standing.
• Retail pharmacy experience strongly preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound and outbound calls daily from members, prescribers, and insurance companies.
• Assist new and existing members with order placement, prescription questions, and payment inquiries.
• Contact prescriber offices for clarifications, refills, and prescription needs.
• Accurately type prescription information into system workflows.
• Adjudicate prescriptions and resolve insurance-related issues.
• Route cases to Intake or other queues when appropriate.
• Work out of multiple queues and maintain productivity expectations.
• Maintain high attention to detail and ensure accuracy in all data entry.
• Follow all pharmacy regulations, policies, and internal procedures.
