Job summary

NTT DATA Americas, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I – Prior Authorization to support members, providers, and pharmacies remotely across the United States. The role handles high-volume calls, documents prior authorization reviews, and escalates clinical questions to the pharmacist team.

You’ll also process requests from fax and electronic channels and respond to department inquiries. The position requires a dedicated workspace, wired internet, and the ability to work a full-time schedule

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of customer service in a high-volume call center.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Teams, data entry and documentation.
• Ability to work the assigned schedule including potential weekend requirements.

Responsibilities

• Handle high-volume inbound calls from members, providers, pharmacies, and other customers.
• Assist callers with the criteria-based prior authorization process while providing excellent customer service.
• Maintain complete, timely, and accurate documentation of prior authorization reviews.
• Review and process prior authorization requests received through fax, electronic portals, and other channels.
• Escalate clinical questions to the pharmacist team as needed.
• Communicate with internal teams regarding prior authorization status and determinations.
• Perform outbound calls and other administrative support duties as needed.
