Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I – Prior Authorization to provide professional and courteous support to members, healthcare providers, pharmacies, and other callers throughout the prior authorization process.

This role handles high-volume inbound calls, documents PA reviews, and escalates clinical questions to the pharmacist team. It may involve outbound calls, paging through fax or electronic systems, and responding to department inquiries.

Qualifications

• Must have a verifiable high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience in a high-volume call center environment.
• Minimum 1 year of proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Teams.
• Ability to work assigned schedule including potential weekend requirements.

Responsibilities

• Handle high-volume inbound calls from members, providers, pharmacies, and other customers.
• Assist callers with the prior authorization process while delivering excellent customer service.
• Maintain complete, timely, and accurate documentation of prior authorization reviews.
• Review and process prior authorization requests from fax, electronic portals, or other channels.
• Escalate clinical questions to the pharmacist team and communicate status to internal teams.
