Job summary

Shields Health Solutions seeks a Patient Engagement Specialist to support patients in managing medications. You will answer calls, schedule refills, and guide patients through the refill process, working closely with pharmacists and care teams to ensure timely support.

The role emphasizes clear communication, attention to detail, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. A remote setup with a quiet workspace is required, and two monitors are provided for daily operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; pharmacy technician registration where applicable.
• National certification (CPhT/PTCB) required.
• Knowledge of prescription processing or claims adjudication preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound and/or outbound patient and pharmacy calls
• Call patients to schedule and complete medication refills
• Help process prescriptions and resolve claim issues
• Check prescription status and update patient records
• Work with pharmacists and providers to clarify orders
• Provide friendly, helpful support to patients and partners
• Use systems to track work and keep information up to date
