Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a pharmacist informatics specialist to leverage clinical and informatics skills to support the medication electronic health record and optimize patient care.

You will serve as a liaison between clinicians and IT teams, developing informatics plans, analyzing data, and implementing builds to advance evidence-based practice and safety. A PharmD, EPIC Willow certification, and residency training are preferred; remote options are available for select states.

Qualifications

• Team members will obtain within 6 months and maintain annual educational requirements for EPIC certification(s) as required by department.
• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy.
• Alternatively, requires completion of PGY1 residency and PGY2 residency in pharmacy informatics.

Responsibilities

• Develops informatics plans, data analysis, and systems that advance evidence-based practice, improve medication safety, and optimize medication related workflows.
• Designs, evaluates, and implements new electronic health record build to support clinical practice and improve the quality and safety of patient care.
• Consults with providers, leadership, physicians, and other clinicians to evaluate information systems and provides critical link between medication workflows and technology.
• Supports informatics solutions for clinical and operational improvements.
• Assists in the creation of data analytics to facilitate data review and improve performance.
• Consults with external agencies and organizations to ensure compliance with local, state, federal and other regulatory requirements.
