Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Pharmacist Informatics Specialist to support the medication EHR, liaise with clinicians, and drive informatics initiatives. The role emphasizes clinical judgment, system build requirements, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance patient safety.

The position requires Epic Willow certification or equivalent experience, with possible remote work from certain states and a comprehensive benefits program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy is required.
• Requires 3 years of pharmacist experience or PGY1/PGY2 in pharmacy informatics.
• Epic Willow certification preferred.
• Experience with medication records, formularies, shortages, labeling, interfaces, automated dispensing systems, or infusion pumps.

Responsibilities

• Support the medication electronic health record using clinical and informatics skills.
• Serve as liaison for clinical informatics initiatives.
• Develop and implement informatics plans and data analytics to improve medication safety.
• Design and evaluate new EHR builds to support clinical practice.
• Consult with providers and leadership to optimize information systems.
• Analyze informatics issues and communicate them to stakeholders clearly.
