Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a Pharmacist Informatics Specialist to support the medication electronic health record and clinical informatics initiatives. This role interfaces with clinicians and IT to design, test, and implement EHR builds that improve medication safety and workflow efficiency.

Required: Doctor of Pharmacy with licensure in practice state and 3 years of pharmacist experience or PGY1/PGY2 in informatics. Epic Willow certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist with degree and eligibility for practice.
• Typically 3 years of pharmacist experience or PGY1/PGY2 in informatics.
• Epic Willow certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leverages pharmacist clinical and informatics skills to support the medication EHR.
• Serves as a liaison regarding clinical informatics and workflow design.
• Develops informatics plans, data analysis, and systems to advance safety.
• Implements new EHR builds to support practice and patient care quality.
• Consults with providers and leadership to evaluate information systems.
• Analyzes complex informatics issues and communicates them clearly.
• Supports informatics solutions for clinical and operational improvements.
• Creates data analytics to facilitate review and performance improvement.
• Develops automated clinical rules supporting patient care.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements across agencies.
