Job summary

Sumitomo Pharma America, Inc. is seeking a Sales Training Manager to design, develop and deliver high-impact training for the Commercial field sales team. You will partner with Sales Leadership, Marketing, Market Access and Compliance to align training with brand objectives.

The role focuses on onboarding new hires, advancing field skills, and supporting NSM/POA initiatives, with both virtual and on-site delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
• Minimum of 3 years of field sales experience.
• Minimum of 1 year in a field trainer, sales training, or equivalent role.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver comprehensive training curricula for new hire onboarding (Phase 1 and Phase 2).
• Lead end-to-end facilitation of New Hire Training (NHT).
• Develop and deliver training content for POA and National Sales Meetings, and other learning initiatives.
• Incorporate adult learning principles and frameworks to drive measurable outcomes.
