Job summary

Sumitomo Pharma America is seeking a Sales Training Manager to design, develop, and deliver high-impact programs for the Commercial field sales organization, aligning training with brand priorities and cross-functional strategies.

You will onboard new hires, elevate existing reps, and run programs for NSMs, POAs, and field events, in both virtual and in-person formats, with travel domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
• Minimum of 3 years of field sales experience.
• Minimum of 1 year in a field trainer, sales training, or equivalent role.
• Demonstrated experience supporting onboarding and sales capability development.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver comprehensive training curricula for new hire onboarding (Phase 1 and Phase 2).
• Lead end-to-end facilitation of New Hire Training (NHT) and align with field expectations.
• Develop content for POA, NSMs, and other learning initiatives.
• Apply adult learning principles to drive measurable outcomes.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Market Access, Sales Leadership, and PRC partners.
