Job summary

Univar Solutions is seeking a motivated Sales Account Manager for Pharmaceutical Ingredients in a home-based role covering the Southeast and nearby regions. You will build value-based relationships and penetrate accounts for additional business.

This role requires 3+ years of pharma ingredients sales, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to travel within the territory. Preference for candidates in NC/SC with willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of sales experience in Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs & Excipients valued).
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, industrial, or chemical sales preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Technical Science/Chemistry preferred).
• Ability to nurture an extensive network of contacts.
• Proven competitive drive and business acumen.

Responsibilities

• Improve Univar’s position within accounts using consultative selling at all levels.
• Prospect for new business by conducting sales calls to grow territory.
• Focus on customer retention and overall satisfaction.
• Provide customer technical support and consultancy to increase value.
• Maintain an updated view of your sales pipeline.
• Set pricing and service levels; coordinate quotations with branches.
• Coordinate with Local Sales, Purchasing, and Operations to ensure inventory.
• Demonstrate commitment to safety for you and colleagues.
