Job summary

Univar Solutions is seeking a driven technical business development professional to promote Biopharma ingredients across North America. You will initiate, develop and close new opportunities with R&D, manufacturing, and business teams, providing technical formulation support and customer insights.

You’ll collaborate with sales and product management to expand share and manage 3 direct reports where applicable.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with technical focus in the Biopharma industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biotech or Life science required.
• Strong technical knowledge in Biopharma manufacturing processes, formulations, and applications.
• Managerial experience is a plus (this role may manage 3 direct reports).
• Able to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Autonomy and initiative in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships.
• Ability to communicate complex scientific information.
• Experience in regulated markets.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, develop and close new opportunities within the Biopharma industry.
• Provide product recommendations, technical and formulation support to customers.
• Enhance Univar Solutions' position within each account through consultative selling.
• Communicate updates using Salesforce CRM.
• Generate industry reports and assist in implementation of recommendations.
• Travel and prospect for new business; grow the territory.
• Collaborate with sales and product management to support new and existing business.
• Support customers during scale-up and technical transfer.
