Job summary

Novogradac & Company LLP is seeking a Principal to oversee PHA, HUD audit engagements within its tax/audit practice. The role emphasizes managing client engagements, mentoring staff, and achieving sales targets while representing the firm externally.

You will spend most time on governmental and affordable housing audits, travel domestically as needed, and develop specialized expertise in PHA and related compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA license required.
• 9+ years of experience in public accounting.
• Ability to manage a fee base of at least $1,000,000 as Principal-1.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and handle fast-paced workload.

Responsibilities

• Oversee client engagements from planning to staffing and billing.
• Mentor staff and conduct performance evaluations.
• Identify and pursue new clients and meet sales goals.
• Develop and grow client relationships and business development.
• Represent the firm externally at conferences and panels.
