Job summary

Novogradac & Company LLP is seeking a Principal to lead PHA/HUD audit engagements and drive new business while overseeing client relationships and staff development. The role focuses on compliance audits, government-related work, and contributing to the firm’s growth across the tax/audit practice.

The Principal will mentor teams, maintain high technical standards, and meet revenue targets. Domestic travel and flexible scheduling may be required to support engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA preferred.
• CPA license required.
• Experience in public accounting with leadership responsibilities.
• Ability to manage a fee base of at least $1,000,000 as Principal-1.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all client engagements, including planning, staffing, timing and billing.
• Supervise and mentor staff at all levels; conduct performance evaluations.
• Identify and pursue new clients and sales opportunities; meet annual sales goals.
• Develop and share technical expertise; participate in firm panels, publications and trainings.
• Increase office profitability by efficient time management and resource allocation.
