Job summary

The Landline Company is seeking a Manager, People Operations to lead employee relations, investigations, and compliance across the U.S. and Canada, reporting to the Director of People Operations.

This individual contributor role also acts as a people leader, ensuring payroll, benefits, and records are accurate. You will support launches in new markets, manage leaves and separations, and partner with station leadership to drive performance and engagement in a distributed workforce across multiple

Qualifications

• 7+ years in human resources or people operations.
• 3+ years in employee relations, investigations, and compliance in frontline environments.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. employment law; Canada/Québec experience preferred.
• Experience conducting workplace investigations and difficult conversations.
• Familiarity with ADP WorkforceNow, Adobe, Microsoft, Slack, and Zendesk.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Director and SVP to drive People priorities and policies.
• Handle employee relations matters from intake to resolution with impartial investigations.
• Partner with station leadership on performance, promotions, and corrective actions.
• Manage the full separation process including terminations, severance, and records updates.
• Administer leaves, FMLA, and workers’ compensation across the U.S. and Canada.
