Job summary

The Landline Company is seeking a Manager, People Operations to lead employee relations and investigations across the U.S. and Canada.

You will manage separations, leaves, compliance, and payroll-related duties in collaboration with the Director of People Operations, while guiding policy improvements and workforce programs. You’ll act as a hands-on People leader, ensuring accurate records and compliant practices, with travel to stations as needed and a focus on building a strong, distributed

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in human resources or people operations, including at least 3 years focused on employee relations, investigations, and compliance in a frontline non-exempt environment.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Director and SVP of People to carry out company priorities, flag trends and risks, and recommend improvements to policies and processes.
• Serve as a key point of contact for employee relations matters, handling concerns and conducting thorough, impartial workplace investigations.
• Partner with station leadership on performance issues, promotions, corrective action, and performance management.
• Manage the full separation process from termination conversations, severance memos, and system updates.
• Administer leaves of absence and FMLA, and manage workers' compensation claims in the U.S. and Canada.
