Job summary

The Landline Company seeks a Manager, People Operations to lead employee relations, investigations, and compliance across the U.S. and Canada.

Reporting to the Director, you will handle promotions, leaves, separations, payroll accuracy, and HRIS administration while ensuring policy adherence and data integrity. You will partner with station leaders on performance management, oversee investigations, and drive People strategy across a distributed workforce with travel up to 30% from key hubs in

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive HR/People Operations experience
• 3+ years in employee relations, investigations, and compliance in frontline non-exempt environments
• Experience managing multi-state or multi-country hourly workforce (transportation/aviation/hospitality preferred)
• Strong knowledge of U.S. employment law; CNESST/Canada knowledge preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead employee relations matters from intake to resolution with impartial investigations
• Partner with station leadership on performance, promotions, and corrective actions
• Manage separations, leaves (FMLA) and payroll/benefits accuracy
• Oversee HRIS administration and payroll/pay adjustments with ADP WorkforceNow
• Ensure compliance (I-9, unemployment responses, wage garnishments) across US/Canada
• Support engagement initiatives and culture across distributed teams
