Job summary

The Landline Company is seeking a Manager, People Operations to guide HR across the U.S. and Canada. You will handle employee relations, investigations, promotions, leaves, and compliance while keeping payroll, benefits, and records accurate.

This is an individual contributor role with leadership responsibilities to support our People strategy. You’ll work closely with senior leadership to flag risks, partner with station managers on performance, manage separations, and administer leaves; remote

Qualifications

• 7+ years in HR/People Operations with 3+ years in employee relations, investigations and compliance.
• Experience managing a high-volume frontline workforce with multiple locations.
• Strong knowledge of US employment law; CNESST knowledge is a plus.
• Experience conducting workplace investigations and difficult conversations.
• Experience with ADP WorkforceNow, Adobe, Microsoft, Slack and Zendesk is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle employee relations, investigations, promotions, actions, and separations.
• Ensure payroll, benefits and records are accurate and up to date.
• Lead market launches, leaves, and legal compliance across the US and Canada.
• Manage performance issues, promotions, corrective actions and turnover.
• Oversee leaves (FMLA), workers’ compensation, unemployment responses.
• Administer I-9s, child support, wage garnishments; resolve ADP issues.
