Job summary

The Landline Company is seeking a Manager, People Operations to lead HR initiatives across the U.S. and Canada. You will handle employee relations, investigations, promotions, leaves, separations, and compliance, while keeping payroll, benefits, and records up to date.

Reporting to the Director of People Operations, you will partner with front line leaders, support a distributed workforce, and help implement people strategy across multiple states and provinces, including Canada.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in human resources or people operations.
• 3+ years in employee relations, investigations and compliance.
• Experience managing a high-volume frontline workforce.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. employment law; CNESST experience a plus.
• Certification in HR is preferred (PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP).

Responsibilities

• Handle employee relations matters from intake to resolution with impartial investigations.
• Partner with station leadership on performance issues, promotions, and corrective action.
• Manage separations, severance memos, and HRIS updates.
• Administer leaves of absence, FMLA, and workers' compensation claims.
• Process pay adjustments and assist payroll administrators with ADP issues.
• Maintain confidential employee records and documentation of ER events.
