Job summary

The Landline Company seeks a Manager, People Operations to lead employee relations, investigations, equity across the U.S. and Canada, reporting to the Director of People Operations.

This individual contributor role also guides promotions, separations, leaves, and compliance while ensuring payroll, benefits, and records stay accurate and up to date. You will partner with station leadership, manage leaves, I-9s, unemployment, workers’ compensation, and drive programs that strengthen culture

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in human resources or people operations.
• At least 3 years focused on employee relations, investigations, and compliance in a frontline non-exempt environment.
• Experience with multi-state or multi-country hourly/frontline workforce is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle employee relations matters, investigations, and compliance in a distributed workforce across the U.S. and Canada.
• Manage promotions, separations, leaves, and legal compliance, ensuring accurate payroll, benefits, and records.
• Partner with station leadership and managers on performance issues and enforcement of policies.
• Maintain confidential employee records and support engagement initiatives remotely and on site as needed.
• Oversee ADP WorkforceNow administration and benefits enrollment processes.
