Job summary

Flourish Health in the United States seeks a strategic Senior Manager of People Operations to lead a growing HR team, oversee employee relations, benefits, leave administration, and compliance across multiple states while guiding the remote People Ops function.

You will mentor HR professionals, implement scalable processes, and ensure data integrity in HRIS/ATS, with a strong focus on reducing risk and aligning with Flourish's mission in mental health.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or related field.
• 8+ years in People Operations/HR with at least 3 years in people management.
• Experience managing complex employee relations, including investigations and terminations.
• Expert knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and other leave programs.
• Deep multi-state employment law compliance and risk management.
• Demonstrated success scaling HR operations in growing organizations.
• Excellent judgment and discretion handling sensitive matters.
• HR certification (SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.
• Healthcare or mission-driven experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of HR professionals.
• Build and scale the People Ops function to support growth.
• Hands-on leadership with delegation to team members.
• Foster continuous improvement of People Ops processes and systems.
• Manage employee relations, disciplinary actions, investigations, and terminations.
• Oversee FMLA, ADA, and leave programs.
• Audit HR practices and employee files for compliance and risk.
• Escalate and handle sensitive employee situations.
• Model Flourish values and coach others.
• Oversee multi-state compliance with laws and regulations.
• Stay current on legislation and update policies.
• Partner with Director on compliance matters.
• Oversee benefits renewal processes and vendor communications.
• Lead open enrollment and resolve benefits issues.
• Oversee HRIS and ATS data integrity and optimization.
• Develop and track key People Ops metrics.
• Maintain accurate employee records across systems.
