Job summary

Stride, Inc. is seeking a Payroll Administrator to manage end-to-end payroll processing using Workday, including multi-state tax compliance, timekeeping audits, and year-end activities.

This remote role requires 5+ years of payroll experience, with 3+ years in Workday, strong Excel skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information in a fast-paced environment. The position is virtual and open to residents across the United States.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED, Associate degree or certificate.
• Five years of payroll experience including three years in Workday payroll.
• Ability to clear required background check.
• Familiarity with payroll processes, policies and best practices.
• Experience using ticketing systems (Freshservice, Zendesk).
• Proficiency in Excel and related Office applications.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end payroll processing for exempt/non-exempt employees (biweekly).
• Reconcile payroll across periods and ensure accurate tax withholdings.
• Review timekeeping records and manage notices and year-end tasks.
• Address employee inquiries via ticketing systems in a timely manner.
• Maintain payroll records in compliance with SOX and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with OSV and other teams on notices and registrations.
