Stride, Inc. is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage end-to-end biweekly payroll processing in Workday for employees across multiple states. This role focuses on accuracy, timely delivery, and compliance with tax rules and company policies.

You will reconcile payroll, manage deductions, address employee inquiries via ticketing systems, and maintain SOX-compliant payroll records while staying updated on payroll legislation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma AND five (5) years of payroll experience including Workday payroll experience
• Three (3) years of Workday payroll experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to clear required background check
• Familiarity with payroll processes, policies, and best practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Responsibilities

• Independently prepare and process end-to-end payroll (biweekly) in Workday for exempt/non-exempt employees across multiple states.
• Reconcile payroll from period to period and review prorated wages and deductions for hires, terminations, and status changes.
• Ensure accurate tax withholdings and reciprocity rules; resolve payroll issues with minimal supervision.
• Maintain payroll records in compliance with SOX and respond to employee inquiries via the ticketing system.
• Stay current on payroll legislation and manage all types of tax notices in collaboration with OSV.
