Job summary

Catholic Charities of Long Island is seeking a Payroll Specialist to maintain payroll records, process regular reporting, and support audits on Long Island. You will collaborate with the Finance team to ensure payroll integrity and accuracy in a compassionate nonprofit setting.

The role requires at least 2 years of payroll experience, familiarity with ADP EV6/ADP Workforce Manager, and strong attention to detail. Full-time with a 9-5 schedule and one remote day is offered.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of payroll processing experience.
• Knowledge of payroll laws, wage and hour regulations, and payroll tax requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience with ADP EV6 and ADP Workforce Manager preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain employee payroll records including new hires, terminations, promotions and changes.
• Process monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting including W-2s.
• Support payroll audits and compliance reviews.
• Suggest and implement process improvements for payroll accuracy.
• Prepare journal entries and reconcile payroll data with accounting.
• Collaborate with Finance to ensure data integrity.
