Job summary

FALCATA seeks an Associate Payroll Accountant to support accurate and compliant payroll processing for exempt and non-exempt staff. Remote role with responsibilities spanning semimonthly processing, timekeeping, onboarding, and tax compliance under federal, state, local regulations and government-contractor requirements.

You will work with ADP and Deltek Costpoint, ensure accurate timekeeping, and assist with audits and annual tax reporting, while maintaining confidentiality and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field preferred.
• 0–2 years of payroll experience in a multi-state environment.
• Experience with semi-monthly payroll processing.
• Hands-on with ADP and Deltek Costpoint payroll/ERP systems.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax requirements.
• Timekeeping, timecard review, payroll reconciliations, and payroll controls.
• Strong Excel and data-analysis skills.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• High level of confidentiality and integrity when handling employee compensation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with semimonthly payroll processing and reporting.
• Assist with payroll using ADP and Deltek Costpoint, ensuring data integrity.
• Review inputs for completeness and accuracy prior to payroll runs.
• Validate hours, PTO, bonuses, deductions, and reimbursements.
• Coordinate payroll deadlines with HR, Accounting, managers, and employees.
• Handle payroll adjustments, retroactive payments, and off-cycle payments as needed.
• Reconcile payroll accounts between ADP, Costpoint, and GL.
