Job summary

FALCATA, headquartered in Arlington, VA, seeks a Senior Payroll Accountant to manage accurate, compliant payroll processing for exempt and non-exempt staff. You will handle semi-monthly payroll using ADP and Deltek Costpoint, ensure proper timekeeping, and support tax reporting and audits.

Remote role with responsibilities spanning onboarding, payroll reconciliations, and government-contracting compliance. Strong experience with payroll software and multi-state regulations is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years payroll experience, multi-state environment.
• Experience with semi-monthly payroll process.
• Hands-on with ADP and Deltek Costpoint or comparable systems.
• Strong knowledge of federal/state/local payroll tax requirements.
• Experience with payroll reconciliations and controls.
• CPP/FPC certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process semimonthly payroll across systems and ensure accuracy.
• Review timecards for completeness and proper approvals.
• Assist with onboarding and new employee setup in payroll systems.
• Ensure payroll tax filings, deposits, and reports are accurate.
• Support payroll reconciliations, general ledger, and cost allocations.
• Maintain payroll records and ensure confidentiality and compliance.
• Support audits and internal controls over payroll.
