Job summary

LOC Credit Union in Farmington Hills, MI is seeking a Payment Specialist to ensure accurate, efficient, and secure processing of member payments and transactions. You will support card issuance, fraud management, ACH, and wire activities while delivering excellent member service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in banking, credit unions, financial services, payment processing, or a related field preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and member-service skills.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
• Comfortable working with computers and learning new systems and technology.

• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Process and maintain member payments and transactions with accuracy and security.
• Order reissue cards (ATM, Debit and VISA) promptly.
• Provide excellent customer service regarding card issues and disputes.
• Manage fraud cases and disputes quickly and accurately.
• Liaise with card processor for lost/stolen reports, disputes resolution, charge backs, and fraud.
• Analyze fraud patterns, review Card Compromise alerts, and report risks to management.
• Provision Visa Debit and Credit Cards for the digital wallet.
• Prepare reports on plastic activity as assigned.
• Perform all ACH functions and daily item processing activities.
• Process domestic and foreign wire transactions per OFAC requirements.
