Job summary

Wolverine State Credit Union in Michigan is seeking a Payment Specialist to manage daily payment processing, accounting, and card services. You will balance transactions, maintain records, and assist members with payment questions in a compliant environment.

The role includes processing ACH, wires, card transactions, fraud handling, and ledger reconciliations while ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of credit union or banking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process ACH activity, including exceptions, settlements, and inquiries.
• Process and support ACH origination activities.
• Process check returns, NSF, settlements, and related adjustments.
• Review and post settlement and ledger entries and account adjustments.
• Process wires, maintain logs, and complete OFAC requirements.
• Process accounts payable and corporate Visa transactions.
• Balance general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Review RDC enrollments and related adjustments.
• Process ATM, debit, and Visa card requests and maintain card inventory.
• Troubleshoot ATM/debit/Visa issues and assist with payments questions.
• Process card fraud and disputes including chargebacks and representments.
• Complete processing, tracking, and reporting for ACH, wires, checks and fraud cases.
• Process ATM check deposit files and adjustments.
• Maintain card programs incl. rewards, gift cards, and notifications.
• Perform off-site ATM servicing as assigned.
• Complete BSA assessments and related responsibilities.
• Maintain reports, logs and documentation accurately.
• Stay updated on regulations and CU policies.

Education
