Job summary

Raintree Systems, Inc. is seeking a Payment Reconciliation Specialist to ensure accurate posting, deposits reconciliation, and timely remittance processing for remote U.S. operations.

You will work from home across designated states, contribute to month-end close, handle inquiries, and improve workflows with basic AI fluency in a fast-paced environment. Join a team that values precision and patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of medical insurance posting experience.
• Knowledge of payer contract & government reimbursement rules.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Google applications.
• Skilled in using computer applications for payment posting with an understanding of A/R follow up.
• Knowledge of insurance and reimbursement policies.
• Experience with medical billing software (Raintree Systems experience a plus).
• Experience in performing tasks that require a basic understanding of accounting and math skills.
• Proactive curiosity and basic AI fluency to identify efficiency gains and streamline daily workflows in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain logs/spreadsheets used for reconciliation.
• Investigate and resolve outstanding deposits; contact clients/payors for information.
• Identify information to clear posting errors and follow ups.
• Participate in month end closing.
• Retrieve and post remittances from payor websites.
• Research unidentified payments to determine resolution.
• Identify patterns indicating issues; notify leads.
• Assist clients by answering inquiries.
• Reconcile daily cash deposits to billing system and bank.
• Special projects as assigned.
