Job summary

Raintree Systems, Inc. is seeking a Payment Reconciliation Specialist to ensure deposits reconcile daily, weekly, and monthly, with emphasis on timeliness and accuracy.

This fully remote role can be performed from designated states across the U.S. You will maintain logs, investigate discrepancies, post payments, and support month-end closing while collaborating with teams to improve cash flow and reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of medical insurance posting experience.
• Knowledge of payer contract and government reimbursement rules.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google applications.
• Skilled in payment posting with an understanding of A/R follow up.
• Knowledge of insurance and reimbursement policies.
• Experience with medical billing software; Raintree Systems a plus.
• Understanding of basic accounting and math skills.
• Proactive curiosity and basic AI fluency to streamline workflows.

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain logs and spreadsheets for reconciliation.
• Investigate deposits, posting issues, and follow up with clients and payers.
• Identify information to clear posting errors and compile reports.
• Participate in month-end closing processes.
• Retrieve and post remittances from payor websites as needed.
• Research unidentified payments and determine resolutions.
• Identify patterns indicating issues and notify leads.
• Assist clients by answering inquiries and providing information.
• Reconcile daily cash deposits to billing system and bank.
• Handle special projects as assigned.
