Job summary

Sentara Health is seeking a Payment Policy Research Analyst & Technical Writer to identify and present new cost-savings opportunities within SHP. You will base analyses on data insights, policy trends and input from subject matter experts, delivering savings through policy development and deployment.

Key duties include researching internal payment policies, evaluating strategies to achieve cost savings, and collaborating with stakeholders to align and implement payment initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in health care or medical field.
• CPC certification required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Research & assessment of internal payment policies & payment solutions to identify cost savings.
• Determine potential strategies to achieve identified cost savings, such as policy development or enhancement.
• Participate in analytical, investigative & fact-finding work to support opportunity development.
• Establish relationships with stakeholders to define and deliver payment initiatives & policy development.
• Influence leadership to adopt new ideas, approaches & products.
