Job summary

Sentara Health is seeking a Payment Policy Research Analyst & Technical Writer to identify and present new cost savings opportunities for SHP. You will analyze data insights, gather input from experts, and drive savings through policy development and deployment.

The role requires collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and experience in health plan policies, coding, and claims processes. Remote work options may be available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required).
• Bachelor Level Degree (Preferred).
• 3 years Health plan experience or 3 years Medical coding, required.
• 3 years Health plan claim auditing or appeals, preferred.
• BS/BA/Advanced degree in health care or medical field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Research and assess internal payment policies and solutions to identify cost savings opportunities.
• Determine potential strategies such as policy development, authorization criteria, contract strategy and claims editing.
• Establish relationships with stakeholders to define and deliver payment initiatives and policy development.
