Sentara Health Plan is seeking a Payment Policy Research Analyst & Technical Writer to identify, develop, and present policy-related medical cost savings opportunities. You will assess opportunities using data insights and collaborate with subject matter experts across SHP to drive growth in core payment and reimbursement policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
• 3 years Health plan experience or 3 years Medical coding, required
• 3 years Health plan claim auditing or appeals, preferred
• BS/BA/Advanced degree in health care or medical field preferred
• Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook for reporting

Responsibilities

• Research and assess internal payment policies to identify cost savings.
• Develop strategies to achieve savings through policy development, criteria, and contracts.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver payment initiatives.
• Present findings and opportunities to leadership.
