Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of related work experience including data entry.
• Working knowledge of medical office procedures and medical terminology.
• Ability to sort and file materials alphabetically or numerically.
• Effective communication and customer service skills (AIDET).
• Competency assessment after training.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients on arrival and manage 20-minute wait time.
• Assist with intake and copying required documents.
• Collect co-payments, co-insurance and deductibles and issue receipts.
• Manage cashier box and daily deposits per company policies.
• Process walk-in patients and visitors; answer phones.
• Schedule appointments and referrals as indicated.
• Assist with patient outreach (reminders, wellness visits).
• Maintain and file patient records; ensure timely scanning/filing of correspondence.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
