Job summary

Atrius Health is seeking a Patient Service Representative to handle patient inquiries via phone and message, verify eligibility, schedule appointments, and coordinate care. This full-time role offers remote work within Massachusetts with on-site training at Quincy locations and potential overtime based on business needs.

The successful candidate will have at least 1 year in medical or insurance settings, EMR experience, and proficiency with Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• 1+ years of experience in medical, healthcare or medical insurance setting.
• EMR experience or aptitude to master EMR systems.
• Experience booking, rescheduling and canceling appointments; verify patient eligibility.
• Proficient in Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel for communication and scheduling.
• Willing to train on-site up to 3 weeks at Quincy locations.
• Full-time role with 8-hour shift during 8:30 am–5:00 pm EST; occasional overtime possible.

Responsibilities

• Screen incoming patient inquiries to determine appropriate routing.
• Provide courteous, friendly, patient-focused service and communication.
• Resolve issues related to patient satisfaction, flow, and compliance.
• Assist with updating patient records and collecting necessary information.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team to meet clinic needs and schedules.
• Support data collection activities such as no-show reports and statistics.
• Participate in department projects and continuous improvement efforts.
