UnitedHealth Group's OptumCare division invites applications for a Remote Patient Service Representative in Boston, MA. This full-time role offers flexible 8-hour shifts during our regular hours, with training conducted onsite for four weeks.

You will screen patient inquiries, schedule and manage appointments, verify eligibility, and maintain accurate records while collaborating with clinicians and staff to optimize clinic operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ years of customer service experience.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) required or demonstrated aptitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Screens incoming patient inquiries to determine appropriate routing.
• Provide courteous, patient-focused service and problem-solving.
• Resolve issues related to patient satisfaction and clinic flow.
• Coordinate administrative tasks like forms, renewals, referrals, and authorizations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and update demographics.
• Support clinic scheduling and data collection for reporting.
• Collaborate with team and supervisors on process improvements.
