Job summary

Atrius Health, part of the Optum family, is seeking a part-time Patient Service Representative to support patient inquiries and scheduling. The role offers remote work within Massachusetts with onsite elements as needed, and a schedule of 21 hours weekly (Mon 12:00pm-5:00pm; Tue-Fri 1:00pm-5:00pm).

You will screen inquiries, assist with appointments, and ensure accurate patient records and referrals while delivering friendly, efficient service.

Qualifications

High School Diploma / GED or equivalent experience.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
1+ years of customer service experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel for communication, scheduling coordination, reporting, and internal collaboration.
Experience booking, rescheduling, and canceling appointments; and verifying patient eligibility using digital scheduling platforms.
Ability to work Part-time (21 hours/week) with scheduled shifts Mon 12:00pm-5:00pm and Tue-Fri 1:00pm-5:00pm, with possible overtime.

Responsibilities

Screens all incoming patient inquiries to determine if they can be handled by the Patient Service Representative or directed to other team members.
Provide courteous, friendly, patient-focused service and clear communication.
Resolve issues related to patient satisfaction, flow, and procedural compliance; advocate for patients as needed.
Collaborate with the supervisor to address department issues and improve operations.
Assist with forms, renewals, referrals, authorizations, and other administrative needs for patients.
